Andrews, Choate Selected to United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Two Birmingham-Southern women's soccer student-athletes were selected to United Soccer Coaches All-South Atlantic Region Teams, the organization announced.

Junior forward Taylor Andrews (Watkinsville, Ga./Oconee County HS), the Southern Athletic Association Player of the Year, was selected to the All-South Atlantic Second Team. Andrews was the top scorer for the Panthers in 2017 with 14 goals, five of which were game-winners. She also assisted on four other goals. Andrews was second in the conference in goals scored, shots and shots on goal. She led the league in game-winners.

SAA First Team midfielder and Newcomer of the Year, Abby Kay Choate (Tifton, Ga./Tifton County HS), was selected to the All-South Atlantic Third Team. The freshman was second on the team with 11 goals and assisted on three others. She also had three game-winning goals for the Panthers.
