MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team dropped its second game of the Maryville Bicentennial Invitational to Piedmont 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Birmingham-Southern (0-2) allowed a goal in each half with the first coming in the 12th minute and the second scored in the 57th minute.
BSC took six shots with three shots on goal. Junior goalkeeper Blakley Jones (Tuscaloosa, Ala./Holy Spirit Catholic HS) recorded six saves in the loss.
The Panthers will look to rebound when they host Talladega College in their home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT at Berylson Soccer Park.
