BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team remained undefeated on the season after sweeping Covenant College 9-0 at home Saturday. BSC (4-0) has not lost a doubles match this spring and has only given up two singles matches.
Against Covenant, each doubles team won 8-1. Emily Enoch (Nashville, Tenn./Christ Presbyterian Academy) had a stellar day sweeping in No. 4 singles. She outscored her opponents 20-1 between both doubles and singles play.
Alyssa Yager (Gardendale, Ala./Gardendale HS), Harper Anderson (Birmingham, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS), and Ashton Henderson (Birmingham, Ala./Laurel Springs HS) each allowed just one game to their singles opponents before picking up their second wins of the day. And Ansley Turley (Knoxville, Tenn./Webb School) swept her opponent 6-0, 6-0 out of the No. 6 position.
BSC will take on NCAA Division II Montevallo on Friday, Feb. 15. Match time is set for 2 p.m. at the Dielen Tennis Complex.
