Dielen to Retire After 41 Seasons on Hilltop, Becoming Director of Tennis

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women’s tennis head coach Ann Dielen announced that she is retiring after 41 years of coaching on the Hilltop.  Dielen, who is the longest tenured coach in Birmingham-Southern history, will be transitioning to Director of Tennis.   She will remain the Senior Women’s Administrator.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s tennis team is hoping to take the momentum of a great season into the Southern Athletic Association tournament this weekend.  BSC (12-5, 5-2 SAA) is the No. 3 seed in the tournament, which runs April 20-22 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

ATLANTA – The Southern Athletic Association has announced that Virginia Hammond (Chattanooga, Tenn./Girls Preparatory School) has been named the SAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s tennis team finished the regular season in third place in the Southern Athletic Association after defeating Rhodes College 7-2 Sunday morning. BSC (12-5) went 5-2 in conference play.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s tennis team improved to 11-5 overall and 4-2 in Southern Athletic Association play after routing Hendrix College 9-0 Saturday morning.  BSC now sit in third place in the league.

Panthers Sweep Doubles to Cruise to 8-1 Win Over Berry

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s tennis team earned an 8-1 win over Berry College at home Sunday to improve to 3-2 in Southern Athletic Association play.  BSC (10-5) swept doubles play to open as four Panthers picked up two wins on the day.
