Panthers lose to West Alabama, 3-1

LIVINGSTON, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team fell, 3-1, to West Alabama, Tuesday night in Livingston. The Panthers fall to 4-5 on the season with their fifth straight loss.

After losing the first two sets, 25-16 and 25-19, BSC rebounded to win the third set, 25-20. But UWA responded with a 25-20 win in the fourth set to clinch the match.

Freshman Kelly Foster posted a double-double with 10 kills and a team-high 12 digs, while junior Shelby Moore also had 10 kills. Junior Lauren Reibe recorded 34 assists, and freshman Kathleen Pfitzer served five aces.

The Panthers travel to Greencastle, Ind., this weekend for the DePauw Tiger Invitational, where they will face Baldwin-Wallace College, DePauw University, and Rose-Hulman College.
