Volleyball splits on second day of DePauw Tiger Invitational

GREENCASTLE, Ind.—The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team rebounded from  yesterday's losses with a 3-1 win against DePauw University this morning at the Tiger Invitational.

The Panthers also lost a tough match to Rose-Hulman, 3-1, in the afternoon.

BSC defeated DePauw by the scores of 25-22, 16-25, 25-20, 25-22, and fell to Rose-Hulman by the scores of 28-30, 25-22, 25-21, 25-22.

"Today we looked like a true team," Head Coach Judy Green said. "Everyone was invested. We played with more energy, more determination and we were able to stay in rallies. We won almost every long rally and those were critical points in the DePauw match. We seem to have found an identity and now we need to stick with it."

The Panthers return home this Wednesday, Sept. 21, to face Martin Methodist College at 7 p.m. in Bill Battle Coliseum.
