Ashley Veach hired as Assistant Volleyball Coach

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern has hired Ashley Veach as its Assistant Coach, Head Coach Jeff White announced this week.

Veach was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Ole Miss and recently graduated with a degree in forensic chemistry. A defensive specialist/libero, she was a three-year member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Academic Honor Roll and a member of the M-Club.

Veach, a native of Alpharetta, Ga., has had extensive experience coaching volleyball camps, including Ole Miss Volleyball Camps, A5 Volleyball Camps in Atlanta, Ga., and Ole Miss Youth League.

Veach also played high school volleyball for Coach White at Northview High School in Duluth, Ga., helping lead the team to three state championships. She was a 2008 All-America selection by PrepVolleyball and a Defensive Dandy, and was 2008 Georgia 5A Player of the Year as well as an All-Area and All-State selection. As a junior in 2007 Veach was All-Area, and for her career she set the NHS record for aces (272) as well as the single-season ace record (90) in 2006. She also set the single-season digs record (562) in 2008.
