  • Denby Named AVCA All-American, First Panther Since 2015

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Sophomore Julia Denby (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze HS) of the Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team was named a 2017 American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American, the organization announced recently.  She is the Panthers first All-American since 2015.
  • Denby, Lee Named to All-South Region Teams

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Sophomore Julia Denby (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze HS) and senior Rachel Lee (Montgomery, Ala./The Montgomery Academy) were named to American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region teams, the organization announced recently.  Denby earned first team honors, while Lee was named to honorable mention.
  • NCAA Tournament: Panthers Fall 3-2 in First Round Against Covenant

    ATLANTA – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team went toe-to-toe with a very scrappy Covenant College Thursday afternoon in the first round of the 2017 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Atlanta Regional.  BSC (20-9) fell 3-2 to the Scots in a tight battle to end the season.
  • Volleyball Selected to 2017 NCAA Tournament

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After finishing second in the conference tournament and third in the south region, Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball received an at-large bid to the 2017 NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament.  BSC (20-8) will head to the Atlanta Regional hosted by No. 7 Emory University.

  • SAA Tournament: Panthers Headed to Title Match, Defeat Hendrix 3-2

    MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball is headed to its third Southern Athletic Association championship match in four years after fending off Hendrix College to win 3-2 in Saturday’s semifinal.  BSC (20-7) will face top seed Berry College at 2 p.m. ET Sunday for the 2017 tournament title.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team saw four Panthers placed on Southern Athletic Association All-Conference teams Friday.  BSC (18-7) finished the regular season ranked second in the league and third in the region.

    MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team swept Rhodes College 3-0 Friday night in the quarterfinals of the 2017 Southern Athletic Association Tournament.  BSC (19-7) will face Hendrix College Saturday in the semifinals.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team moved up in the regional rankings.  The Panthers are now ranked third in the south region in a recent poll by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team swept Randolph-Macon College 3-0 Saturday in their final match of the Emory Invitational.  With the win, BSC closed the regular season at 18-7 overall. 
  • BSC Goes 2-0 in Day One of Emory Invite

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team went 2-0 in day one at the Emory Invitational Friday afternoon.  The Panthers downed Washington & Lee 3-1 before taking Webster University in straight sets, 3-0.  BSC (17-7) has gone 3-2 at neutral sites this season.
  • Volleyball Battles No. 10 Emory to Five, Falls to Hendrix 3-1

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team fought No. 10 Emory to five sets Sunday evening before falling 3-2.  The Panthers (15-7, 11-3) dropped their opening match to Hendrix College 3-1 in the doubleheader to close out their home season.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team swept Rhodes College 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Southern Athletic Association action.  The Panthers (15-5, 11-2 SAA) held off a late rally in the third set to secure the win.
  • Volleyball Tops Millsaps 3-1, Secures Second Place in SAA

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team topped Millsaps College 3-1 Wednesday night in Southern Athletic Association play.  The Panthers (14-5, 10-2 SAA) out-killed Millsaps 60-39 to secure a second place regular season finish in the league.
  • Panthers Split Weekend Conference Play

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team split Southern Athletic Association play this weekend.  The Panthers (13-5) swept Oglethorpe University 3-0, but then fell 3-1 to league leader Berry College.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team swept Centre College 3-0 Sunday afternoon in Bill Battle Coliseum to improve to 12-4 overall, and 8-1 in Southern Athletic Association play.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team improved to 7-1 in conference play Saturday with its 3-0 win over Southern Athletic Association rival Sewanee at home.  BSC (11-4) out blocked the Tigers 11-3 in the win.
  • Volleyball Takes Rhodes 3-1

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team won its fifth straight match Sunday when the Panthers defeated Southern Athletic Association rival Rhodes College 3-1.  BSC (10-4, 6-1 SAA) now sits in second place in the league halfway through the conference season.
  • Panthers Outlast Hendrix 3-2 in Road Win

    CONWAY, Ark. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team battled Hendrix College in the final three sets to earn its 3-2 road win Saturday afternoon.  The Panthers (9-4) are now 5-1 in Southern Athletic Conference play.
  • Volleyball Comes back at Centre, Wins 3-2

    DANVILLE, Ky. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team completed a comeback at Centre College Sunday afternoon.  After dropping the first and third sets closely, the Panthers (8-4) took the last two sets to defeat Centre 3-2 and improve to 4-1 in Southern Athletic Association play.
  • Panthers Dominate Sewanee in 3-0 Rout

    SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team improved to 2-1 in Southern Athletic Association play with its 3-0 road win over Sewanee Saturday afternoon.  BSC (7-4) hit .417 as a team in the third set to secure the victory.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team moved to 6-4 overall and 2-1 in Southern Athletic Association play Saturday with its 3-0 sweep of Oglethorpe University in Bill Battle Coliseum.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team dropped its first Southern Athletic Association match Friday night.  The Panthers fell 3-1 to Berry College.  They move to 5-4 on the year, 1-1 in conference play.

    JACKSON, Miss. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team swept Southern Athletic Association rival Millsaps College 3-0 Tuesday night.  The road win pushes the Panthers to 5-3 overall on the year and 1-0 in conference play.

    TYLER, Texas – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team competed well at the UT-Tyler Tournament this weekend.  The Panthers went 1-2 in matches Friday and Saturday to move to 3-2 overall on the year.

  • Panthers Undefeated at McAttack Bash

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team swept competition Saturday at the 2017 McAttack Bash to improve 3-0 on the year.  The Panthers defeated Maryville College 3-1, then topped Covenant College 3-1 in the night cap.
