BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior Jeneva Salter (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) and junior Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-South Region, the organization announced Thursday. Salter earned first-team honors, while Johnson was recognized on the honorable mention team.
This is the third straight all-region nod for Salter, who ranks nationally in five offensive categories. She sits second in the league in total kills, kills per set, and points per set. Johnson is one of the best liberos in the Southern Athletic Association. She ranks nationally in three categories including total digs, where she leads the league.
The pair are going to be crucial to the 21st ranked Panthers' success this weekend as they enter the first round of the NCAA Tournament on the road.
