BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball rebounded after losing the first set to defeat Millsaps College 3-1 Tuesday night in Bill Battle Coliseum. BSC (9-3) is now 2-0 against Southern Athletic Association opponents.
Julia Denby (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze HS) led the Panthers offensively with 14 kills. Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) and Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) finished with double-doubles. Erwin sent 10 blocks back with 11 kills. And Ray earned 13 digs with 10 kills, respectively.
Setters Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) and Reilly Vought (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort HS) combined for 28 assists. And Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) finished with a match-high 16 digs.
The Panthers remain at home for their next matchup. They face Rhodes College on Saturday at noon.
