Panthers Sweep Centre 3-0

DANVILLE, Ky.  – Birmingham-Southern volleyball moved to 5-1 against Southern Athletic Association opponents with its 3-0 sweep of Centre College Saturday.  BSC (11-4) sits tied for second place in the league as they head towards the second half of the season.

Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) led all attackers.  She earned a match-high 12 kills with no errors, hitting .545 and finished with a match-high eight blocks.  Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) and Reilly Vought (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort HS) combined for 35 assists.

And Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) and Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) tied with a team-high 15 digs to anchor the defense on the backline.

The Panthers finish their road trip in Sewanee, Tenn. tomorrow against the University of the South.  Match time is set for 1 p.m. CT.
