Cross Country results from Rhodes Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn.—The Birmingham-Southern cross country teams competed at the Rhodes Invitational today, where the men were eighth and the women were ninth among non-Division I schools.

Freshman Chris Roberts was the top finisher for BSC on the men's side, coming in 16th with an 8K time of 27:31 in the field of 133 runners. For the women, sophomore Kelsey Holdbrooks led the way, placing 20th among 125 runners with a 5K time of 24:10.

The Panthers stay in the Birmingham area next weekend, hosting the Drury Inn & Suites Invitational on Friday, Oct. 4, at Veteran's Park in Hoover, Ala. The women's start is slated for 3:30 p.m., followed by the men at 4:15 p.m.
