Head Leads Panthers at Sewanee Invitational

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women's cross country team competed at the 2018 Sewanee Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, placing fourth out of five teams.

Junior Marjorie Head (Columbiana, Ala./Shelby County HS) led the Panthers, finishing in fifth place with a 6k time of 24:40.3.

Senior Margot Woolverton (Birmingham, Ala./Vestavia HS) also finished in the top 15, coming in 14th with a mark of 26:15.65.

Junior Megan Rasmussen (Headland, Ala./Providence Christian School), sophomore Anne Lewis Simmons (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) and freshman Aysia Walker also ran for the Panthers.

Birmingham-Southern's next meet will be the UAB Blazer Classic on Friday, Oct. 12.
