Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Panthers put up triple digits for second consecutive game

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second time in two days, and third time in program history, the Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team netted triple digits in a single game. The Panthers fell 138-112 to Piedmont College in game four of the 2020 Richard Dardenne Memorial Classic Thursday afternoon in Bill Battle Coliseum.
 
Brooke Westhoelter (Clearwater, Fla./Calvary Christian HS) made six three's en route to a team-high 24 points.  Josie Wannemuehler (Birmingham, Ala./John Carroll Catholic HS) and Charlton Kelley (Clarksville, Tenn./Davidson Academy) earned double-figures for the second consecutive game, finishing with 13 and 11 points, respectively.  Westhoelter and Kelley led the team in rebounds.  And Alex Lewis (Huntsville, Ala./St. John Paul II Catholic HS) earned a team-high seven assists.
 
BSC closes the classic at 7 p.m. Friday night when they take on Belhaven University.
