MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Two second half goals pushed Southern Athletic Association rival Rhodes College ahead of Birmingham-Southern men's soccer Sunday afternoon. BSC (5-3) fell 2-1 on the road to move to 1-1 in conference.
Alessandro Junior (Novo Horizonte, Säo Paul, Brazil/Saint Benedict's Prep School) opened scoring in the game. He took a pass from
Pirmin Blattmann (Mountain Brook, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) and scored in the eighth minute to put BSC up 1-0. The Lynx then scored in the 53
rd and 67
th minute to earn the win.
BSC remains on the road. The Panthers take on Centre College Friday, March 26. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
