BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team had three singles matches determined by tiebreaks in their 5-4 loss to Rhodes College Saturday to open conference play. BSC (5-4, 0-1 SAA) was up 2-1 heading into singles.
Alyssa Yager (Gardendale, Ala./Gardendale HS) finished with two wins on the day. After taking her No. 2 doubles match with
Jenna Prater (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's Episcopal School), she won at No. 1 singles 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-2).
The Panthers close the series out tomorrow. Match time is set for 10 a.m.
