BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team moves to five wins in the start of the season after taking down Belhaven 6-1 on Saturday.
Birmingham-Southern picked up two wins in doubles play to start off the match.
Phoebe Shapard and
Isabella Lambert took their victory 8-6. Court two earned an 8-2 victory with
Anna Marie Bentley and
Meg Griffin securing that for BSC. The last doubles court ended in a win by default for
Anna Beth Giles and
Anna Cate Weeks.
In singles play after losing a point due to retirement on court one the Panthers would win four more points and add another win by default on court six. Birmingham-Southern took the rest of the singles play with all straight set victories.
