ATLANTA, Ga. - Birmingham-Southern kept up the good fight and took down ranked No. 31 MIT in a tough matchup on Saturday in Atlanta, taking the victory 7-2 over the Engineers.
Birmingham-Southern took all three doubles matches with No. 1
Tanner DeBardelaben and
Wil Dotson playing a close match that kept them fighting until the end to take it 9-8. Both No. 2
Ryan King and
Sam Tolbert, and No. 3
Tom Smith and
Eli Ingleson took their opponents 8-3.
BSC took four out of the six singles matches with three matches going into a tiebreaker set.
Sam Tolbert on court three and
Tom Smith on court six each fought hard in a tiebreaker set, both winning 10-6 over their opponents.
Ryan King fell in a close tiebreaker at 10-8.
