BIRMINGHAM, AL. -Ā The Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team played two games this weekendĀ resulting in one tie and one win.Ā
Game 1 vs.Ā LeTourneau UniversityĀ
After outshooting LeTourneau 21-7 the Panthers end the game all tied at 1-1.
Chances came all over the place from the Panthers, but ultimately the first goal was scored by LeTourneau in the 17th minute.Ā
Birmingham Southern found the back of the net in the second half with a great ball from
Trey Kirksey into Alessandro Junior. Junior would finish in the top left corner to tie the game at 1-1.
Not many chances would surface after the goal and the game would end at 1-1.

Game 2 vs.Ā Centenary College
Both teams struggled to find many opportunities in the first have with just three shots on goal in the first 45 minutes.
The SAA has a newĀ career assist leader in
Pirmin Blattmann. He broke the record with an assist toĀ
Josh Guerra for his 24th career assist. This would open up the scoring after a scoreless first half.Ā
The next threeĀ goals would come just five minutes apart; two of them coming from
Josh Guerra. Josh would finish with a hat trick on the night.Ā
Caleb Pruett finished off the scoring in the 90th minute with a free kick that will be talked about for a long time. Caleb struck the ball into the top right corner leaving the goalkeeper standing still.Ā
Birmingham-Southern wins the game 4-0.
