Blakely Valdez won both points for the Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team as they were defeated by #3 seed Rhodes in the SAA Tournament Quarterfinals on Friday.
Rhodes got on the board first with a win in the No. 2 doubles match, but No. 1 duo

Blakely Valdez were phenomenal and tied the score at one point a piece after an emphatic 8-0 win. The Lynx then won the No. 3 doubles match to take a 2-1 win into singles.
The Lynx won the first two doubles matches to finish in the No. 3 and No. 6 positions to put themselves within a point of advancing to the semifinals. No. 1
Blakely Valdez kept the Panthers alive with a comfortable 6-1, 6-3 win as she continued her great day. However, the Lynx ended the match with a win in the No. 4 position to emerge victorious, 5-2.
