Birmingham-Southern College

A native of New Orleans, Coach Rooney graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Kinesiology. She previously coached at Dominican High School where she coached 2 state championship teams, 3 individual state champions, and multiple team and individual runners-up. She was named Metro Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2020. 

Coach Rooney married her husband, Scott, in December 2020. Together they enjoy cooking and spending time outdoors. They currently live in Birmingham with their dog, Duke.
