BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball could not fend off a late rally by Rhodes College Friday night as the Panthers fell 62-56 at home in Bill Battle Coliseum. BSC (8-15) moved to 5-7 in Southern Athletic Association play with the loss.
Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) led the Panthers with 21 points. She and Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) tied for the team-high in rebounds with seven. Olsen also finished with a team-high three steals and two blocks.
The junior recently broke the programs record for blocks. She now sits at 151 for her career.
BSC remains at home for their next game. They take on Hendrix this Sunday at 1 p.m.
