BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team was defeated at home on Tuesday evening, falling to the Reinhardt Eagles 17-11 at Krulak Stadium.
Junior midfielder Jade Cox (Rome, Ga./Darlington School) led the Panthers in the loss, scoring a team-high four goals on 13 shots. Cox now has 68 goals on the season, which is the second-most in the Southern Athletic Association.
Sophomore Alexus Howard (Spring Hill, Tenn./Franklin HS) started in goal for the Panthers and finished the game with 18 saves.
With the loss, the Panthers drop to 6-9 overall. Birmingham-Southern will face Hendrix College in its regular-season finale. Saturday will also serve as Senior Day for the Panthers. The game is scheduled to start at noon.
