Cross Country teams head to NCAA Regional

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern cross country teams will send several individuals to compete in the NCAA South/Southeast Regional this Saturday in Winchester, Va.

The BSC men are currently ranked 10th in the region. Six athletes will compete in tomorrow's race:

Last season, the men placed 10th and the women were 15th, with Roberts finishing 12th and qualifying for the NCAA Championship. Roberts has had another impressive season, placing fourth at the 2015 Southern Athletic Association Championship to earn First-Team All-Conference honors. Mason earned Honorable Mention honors after finishing 12th.

"We are once again looking forward to a good showing at the regional championship," Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "These athletes have been working extremely hard, and are up to the challenge. They've had a great season so far, and we're hoping to keep it going this weekend and beyond."
