Birmingham-Southern College

Jake James was hired as wide receivers coach for the Birmingham-Southern College football program in the winter of 2012 after serving for one season as a volunteer assistant coach. He coached both the varsity and junior varsity h-backs on the 2012 SAA championship team.

He is a 2007 graduate of Vestavia Hills High School, where he played strong safety and lineback under coach Buddy Anderson.

James received his B.S. in commerce and business administration in December 2011 from the University of Alabama, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
