Trey Hines enters his first year as Sports Information Director of Birmingham-Southern.
Hines spent the past four years as a soccer player for the BSC men's soccer team. During his career, the team won its first regular season conference championship in the Division III era in 2020, won its first SAA tournament title in 2022, and made its first NCAA DIII Tournament appearance in 2023. In his career, Hines was the 2023 SAA Man of the Year, a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American Third Team selection, a CSC Academic All-American Third Team selection, a Second Team All-District selection, a United Soccer Coaches All-Region VI Second Team selection, a CSC Academic All-District Selection, a two-time First Team All-SAA selection, a Second Team All-SAA selection, and a four-time Southern Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll selection. He was a three-year captain and led the team in minutes in his junior and senior seasons. Hines finished his carer with 19 goals and 10 assists in 54 games as a center midfielder.
He graduated magna cum laude in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology and a marketing concentration in May 2023. Hines worked as an Athletic Department Intern in the spring of 2023 before taking the full-time position with the Panthers.
