JACKSON, Miss. – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball fell 101-98 at Belhaven University on Tuesday night. BSC (1-3) led at the half, but the Blazers closed the gap in the third and took the lead for good with just over six minutes to play in fourth.
Josie Wannemuehler (Birmingham, Ala./John Carroll Catholic HS) led all scorers with a game-high 15 points.
Leah Middleton (Decatur, Ga./St. Pius XH) and
Anna Beth Giles (Gadsden, Ala./Glencoe HS) each earned 12 points, respectively.
This was the last game for the Panthers in 2020. They return to action on January 7 at Covenant College. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
