BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team dropped 60 points on NCAA Division I opponent Samford University Tuesday night before falling on the road.
Every Panther saw time on the court in the loss. They were led offensively by
Brooke Westhoelter (Clearwater, Fla./Calvary Christian HS) and
Summer Killin (Birmingham, Ala./John Carroll Catholic HS). The pair put up 12 and 10 points respectively.
BSC (1-4) trailed by only 10 points after the first quarter, but a big scoring second quarter for Samford helped seal the 135-60 win. The Panthers travel to Covenant College next. They tip off at 2 p.m. this Saturday against the Scots.
