BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern track and field sophomore Jordan Jones (Powder Springs, Ga./Hiram HS) was named all-region in triple jump by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
"Jordan continues to be one of the most consistent jumpers in the region and it has paid off well," said Head Coach Kenneth Cox.
Jones broke a program record when he jumped 14.42m back on January 25 at the JDL Flat is Fast meet in Winston Salem, N.C. The mark held on as one of the top in the country to earn him all-region. He is the only Southern Athletic Association men's field athlete recognized.
"This off-season was focused on him working on the little things that have made the biggest difference in the records that he has set and the honor of being all-region," Cox added.
