BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomore Jordan Jones (Powder Springs, Ga./Hiram HS) of Birmingham-Southern track and field will compete at the 2020 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend.

"We are very proud of Jordan and excited for this chance for him to compete in his first NCAA Indoor Championship," said Head Coach Kenneth Cox.  "He set this as a goal of his since qualifying last year for outdoor nationals as a freshman, and that determination has paid off well."

The reigning BSC indoor long and triple jump record holder qualified for the championships on January 25 when he broke his previous triple jump record and went 14.42m.  The mark was set in the same facility where he will have a chance to become a national champion.

This is the fifth straight year a men's track and field student-athlete has qualified for the indoor championships.  And the seventh consecutive for any Panther.  The championships take place March 13-14 in Winston Salem, N.C.  Fans can follow the live results online HERE.
