BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern student-athletes accounted for over a third of all students recognized on the fall 2020 Dean's List.  There were 170 Panthers among the group of 475 who earned above a 3.5 grade point average while taking at least three full-unit courses this past fall.
 
While fall sports accounted for the highest total represented season on Dean's List, winter sports had a higher percentage of their rosters earn the honor.  Football accounted for the most honorees on a men's team.  Women's swimming and diving had the most of any women's program with 92 percent of its roster being recognized.
 
Dr. Bradley Caskey, BSC provost and vice president for academic affairs also congratulated the scholars, saying "during an unusual term on campus and around the world, our students stayed focused on academics, accomplishing a great deal while adeptly handling the challenges of COVID-19 restrictions. The BSC community's diligence in maintaining a healthy campus environment allowed us to continue learning and interacting on the Hilltop. You should all be very proud."
