BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's swimming and diving split competition Friday night at the Birmingham CrossPlex.  While falling to NCAA Division II opponent University of West Florida 235-64, the Panthers topped Southern Athletic Association rival Millsaps College 242-28.
 
Mary Katherine Stewart (Daphne, Ala./Daphne HS) picked up two wins on the day.  She took the 200 free in a time of 1:58.91.  And went on to win the 200 backstroke after touching the wall a second ahead of the UWF swimmer in a time of 2:10.02.
 
BSC continues competition against West Florida tomorrow.  They also face conference rival Berry College.  Meet time is set for 10 a.m.
