BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's swimming and diving picked up wins over Berry College and Millsaps College Saturday. The Panthers defeated Berry 229-44 and topped the Majors 232-20.
Mary Miller Goldberg (Memphis, Tenn./St. George's Independent School),
Mary Katherine Stewart (Daphne, Ala./Daphne HS),
Maya Donaldson (Buford, Ga./Lanier HS), and
Nikki Lee (Neoga, Ill./Neoga HS) picked up second place finishes in individual events behind NCAA Division II opponent University of West Florida.
Jocelyn Helsby (Woodstock, Ga./Woodstock HS),
Mary Beth Ronne (Athens, Tenn./McMinn County HS),
Anna Grace Pell (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS), and
Regan Skedgell (Powder Springs, Ga./Hillgrove, HS) were on the second place 200 free relay.
The Panthers top finisher was never bested by a Division III opponent. BSC would lose to UWF 241-50. They now prepare to defend their Southern Athletic Association title. Championships will be February 17-20 at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
