JACKSON, Miss. - The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a 1-0 loss at Millsaps today (Oct. 23).
The Panthers and Majors played a fairly even first half. The Panthers had the edged Millsaps 7-4 on shots and 3-1 on corner kicks in the first half. Both goalkeepers did not allow a goal and the teams would go to halftime tied 0-0.
For most of the second half the Majors and BSC continued to play evenly. The tie was broken in the 88th minute of the game. Millsaps netted a goal to take a 1-0 lead with just under two and a half minutes remaining in the game. The Panthers had an opportunity to tied but the Millsaps goal keeper held her ground and made a save on an
Abby Walker shot.
