Montgomery, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team competed against in-state rival Huntingdon College. On November 9th, both teams competed against each other, and the Hawks gained a victory. The Panthers returned in today's matchup to redeem themselves with a final score of 81-75.
Both teams started off hot each putting up 22 points in the first quarter. The Panthers kept the momentum going in the second quarter outscoring the Hawks 21-14, leading the first half 43-36. BSC came into the third quarter with high energy leading the Hawks by 11 points. Huntingdon tried to make a combat in the fourth quarter outscoring the Panthers 19-14, but BSC remained on top with a victory.
Brooke Westhoelter and
McKenna Buckner both put up double digits leading the Panthers with 17 points. Westhoelter added on three steals, three rebounds, and two assist. Buckner recorded four rebounds and two steals.

The Panthers return home Saturday, December 18th to compete in their first conference game against Millsaps College.
