HOOVER, Ala. – No. 8 Birmingham-Southern baseball split games with Oglethorpe University Sunday at the Hoover Met Complex. After dropping the opening game 6-7, BSC (2-1) topped the Stormy Petrels 12-5 in the night cap.
Cole Steadman (Birmingham, Ala./Briarwood Christian) led the Panthers at the plate, hitting .625 with five hits, including two doubles, a triple, and a home run. He also knocked in five runs and scored three times.
Wes Diamantis (Atlanta, Ga./St. Pius X HS) and
Brian Williams (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) earned three hits on the day. And five others finished with two.
Oliver Livingston (Decatur, Ga./Decatur HS) earned the game two win after three innings with a 0.00 ERA.
Tristan Harvin (Dothan, Ala./Houston Academy) led with a team-high five strikeouts in five innings on the mound.
BSC travels to take on LaGrange next. They face they Panthers on Wednesday for a single game at 3 p.m.
