BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse fell 15-5 Saturday afternoon to NCAA Division II rival the University of Montevallo. BSC is now 1-2 on the year.
Lizzie La Vangie (Jacksonville, Fla./Darlington School) finished with three points to lead the Panthers after scoring twice from four shots on goal and assisting another.
Kathleen Napier (Burlingame, Calif./Mercy HS) also earned two goals. And
Sydney Riley (Collierville, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) rounded out the scoring Panthers with one goal off two shots on goal.
Grace Lee Paden (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS) received the loss but grabbed a team-high four saves in her 30 minutes in goal.
BSC welcomes Transylvania University to the Hilltop next. The Panthers host Transy next Saturday at noon. It is the last non-conference matchup of the season and senior day.
