GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Birmingham Southern men's lacrosse team lost to Greensboro College 19-10 after a third quarter rally fell short.
Robert Marquet (Birmingham, Ala./Chelsea HS) led the team with a hat trick and one assist.
Carter Watkins (Charlotte, N.C./Adrey Kell HS) and
Cameron Heard (Peachtree City, Ga./Starr's Mill HS) followed with two goals each. Heard assisted
Jacob Hasbrouck (Dallas, Ga./North Paulding HS) in the Panthers second goal of the day.
Bowen Harris (Johns Creek, Ga./Mount Pisgah HS) and
Reid Harrison (Fayetteville, Ga./Starr's Mill HS) contributed to the final score with one goal each. Harrison also earned a game-high three assists.
In goal,
Max Downs (Woodstock, Ga./Sequoyah HS) recorded 10 saves.
BSC (1-1) will be on the road again at LaGrange College Thursday, February 25. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
