BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After an own goal in the second half tied the match up at 2-all,
Christian Hernandez (Ft. Payne, Ala./Ft. Payne HS) scored the game winner eight minutes later to lift Birmingham-Southern men's soccer to its 3-2 win over Southern Athletic Association rival Hendrix College Saturday.
Coleman Jennings (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) scored the Panthers first two goals. His second was assisted by
Caleb Pruett (Huntsville, Ala./Huntsville HS). Hernandez took a volley into the left side of the goal in the 61
st minute to secure the win.
Adrian Weiss (Enterprise, Ala./Montevallo University) spent a full 90 minutes in goal. He earned a game-high four saves and the win.
BSC (5-2, 1-0 SAA) travels to take on Rhodes College next. Match time is set for 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 20.
