BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern men's soccer put up double-figure goals on senior day against MUW. There were six Panthers who scored in the 10-2 win with four netting two goals.
Coleman Jennings (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS),
Max Sager (Baton Rouge, La./Runnels HS),
Alessandro Junior (Novo Horizonte, Säo Paul, Brazil/Saint Benedict's Prep School), and
Christian Hernandez (Ft. Payne, Ala./Ft. Payne HS) each finished with two goals, respectively.
Trey Hines (Cumming, Ga./Lambert HS) and
Raz Velez (Houston, Texas/Harding University) also earned goals in the win.
Sager came off the bench to score his two and assisted another. Jennings and Hines also had assists to go with their goals.
Brian Heredia (Pelham, Ala./Itawamba CC) earned two assists. And
Will Gannaway (Decatur, Ala./Decatur HS),
Cesar Hurtado (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS), and
Pirmin Blattmann (Mountain Brook, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) finished with an assist each.
Adrian Weiss (Enterprise, Ala./Montevallo University) spent a full 90 in goal and finished with three saves and the win. He is 3-0 on the year.
BSC (4-2) welcomes Hendrix College to the Hilltop on Saturday, March 13 to open Southern Athletic Association play next. Match time is set for 3 p.m. on Goldfarb Field.
