BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's soccer improved to 5-1 on the year after fending off Huntingdon College 3-2 Saturday afternoon on Goldfarb Field.
Abby Kay Choate (Tifton, Ga./Tift County HS) scored the Panthers first goal in the second minute of the game and the eventual game winner in the 69
th minute.
Abby Walker (Hickory, N.C./Fred T. Foard HS), who assisted Choate's first goal, scored her own in the 18
th minute on a pass from
Sydney Barrow (Birmingham, Ala./Indian Springs HS).
Blakley Jones (Tuscaloosa, Ala./Holy Spirit Catholic HS) picked up the win in goal and is now 5-1 on the season.
BSC (5-1) opens Southern Athletic Association play at home against Hendrix on Saturday, March 13. Match time is set for 3 p.m. on Goldfarb Field.
