BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team improved to 2-0 in conference play with its 12-6 win over Southern Athletic Association rival Berry College Sunday afternoon. BSC (3-3) exploded offensively in the second half, putting up nine goals.
Kathleen Napier (Burlingame, Calif./Mercy HS) earned a hat trick for the third consecutive game. She finished with four points after assisting a goal.
Kendal Vick (Madison, Ala./James Clemons HS) earned three points after scoring two goals and assisting another. Five other Panthers scored in the win.
Carly Gainey (Starr's Mill HS/Peachtree City, Ga.) grabbed a game-high seven ground balls. And
Grace Lee Paden (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS) earned the win after spending almost 43 minutes in goal.
Jordyn Davidson (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge HS) made her mark late, earning a team-high six saves.
The Panthers continue SAA play on Saturday, March 13 when they travel to Memphis, Tenn. to take on Rhodes College. The two-game series starts at noon on Saturday.
