BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -  The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team takes another big conference win, sweeping Rhodes 3-0. The Panthers had a .322 hitting percentage as a team, the second best this season. 
 
The first set started off tied at 2-2, but the Panthers soon took the lead 6-3 over the Lynxes. Birmingham-Southern went on a massive 10 point run with kills from 
Alyssa Coats and Leah Neilsen to take the lead to 19-6. Rhodes fought back to make it a closer 19-11, before Birmingham-Southern took the game 25-14 with 
Kennedy Dickens ending the set with a kill. 
 
The Panthers came out hot in the second set taking the early lead 7-0. Kills from 
Gigi Fields, 
Kennedy Dickens and 
Emily Buhl as well as back to back aces from 
Kate Powell pushed the Panthers to an even further 16-3 lead over the Lynxes. Grabbing a few more points, Rhodes made it 19-10, but an ace from 
Shayla Hill kept up the lead before an ace from 
Ansleigh Dailey ended the match 25-12. 
 
Rhodes took the first point in the third set trying to take the early lead over the Panthers. Birmingham-Southern reacted quickly taking the lead 5-3. Rhodes fought back to take the lead 7-5. Two aces from 
Ally Mildenberger helped pushed the Panthers past the Lynxes 16-9. 
Gigi Fields had 5 out of her 12 kills in the final set, boasting the Panthers to their final win 25-17.
