Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

PANTHERS EDGED OUT BY TIGERS

SEWANEE, Tenn. – A breakaway goal sees the Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team losing in a close match with Sewanee.

While the Panthers looked to take a more methodical approach to work in their offense, the Tigers came out of the gates blazing. The Panthers defense would hold up well initially, but eventually, a gap would be found giving the Tigers a lead.

That lead would not be safe for long with Coleman Jennings looking to cut into it as quickly as possible. Jennings finally connected on his third straight shot attempt after a great assist from Will Pucek. The rest of the half was a back-and-forth affair, going into the break at a draw.

The second half drew similar results to the first with shots coming early, and another score by the Tigers. They would not relent in their attack after this looking to create an even more comfortable margin to work with.

A solid effort from the Panthers would see to it that the lead would not grow any further. However, they were unable to match their opponent's goal, only getting two shots from freshman Vittorio Vopicelli for the remainder of the match.
