Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

PANTHERS END WITH A TIE IN FINAL ROAD MATCH

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – A late penalty kick goal evened things out for the Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team.

Another tight contest looked to be instore for the Panthers with a few early, back-and-forth possessions. But, it would be the Scots who kicked off scoring for the match giving them a temporary upper hand. The Panthers defense would hold up well against a brief flurry of shots following that goal.

While keeping the opposition in check, the Panthers started to gain momentum. After taking over possession and pushing up the field, Coleman Jennings was able to score off of an assist from fellow senior Trey Hines to bring the match even.

The match would return to the back-and-forth possessions of earlier, until an untimely foul resulted in a penalty kick for the Scots who would take full advantage and the lead to round out the first half.

Coming out of the break, the Panthers looked to be the aggressors taking shots early and often. They continued to get opportunities throughout despite a mess of fouls and cautions.

Finally, the Panthers were able to draw a foul in the penalty box creating to perfect chance to bring the match to a draw once again. Trey Hines would step up and cash in on this chance. Both teams were then hard-pressed to jump ahead, but time would expire before either could strike.
