COLUMBUS, Miss. - The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team set a single-game record for most points scored in a contest defeating MUW 150-76. This also stands as the largest margin of victory in the programs history.
BSC had four players score 15 or more as
Sameera Elmasri posted 19 points to lead all Panthers scorers while adding six rebounds and five steals. Lily Hart notched a career-high with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor.
Faith Anderson recorded an 18 point outing also shooting 7-of-13 from the floor. Montana recorded consecutive double-figure scoring outings after posting 16 points in the win.
The Owls were led by three 20+ point scorers. Leading the Owls in scoring was Conley Langford scoring 25 and grabbing 11 rebounds in the loss. The Owls shot 53.4-percent for the game.
BSC got up early and stayed up outscoring the Owls in all four quarters by double-digits. The Panthers made 54 shots with 16 of them coming from the three-point line. BSC also shot a season-high 78.8-percent from the free-throw line. The Panthers scored more than 30 points in each quarter giving them an average of 3.75 points per minute throughout the game.

The Panthers will travel to Atlanta, Ga. to compete in the Holiday Inn & Suites Classic hosted by Oglethorpe. The Panthers will open the tournament on Friday, Dec. 16 as they tip-off at 2 p.m. against Maryville College.
