DANVILLE, Ky. – The Birmingham-Southern men's tennis team fell 6-3 to Centre after attempting a comeback in their singles play.
The Panthers lost in all three doubles matches, with No. 1 duo of
Wilbur Dotson and
Elijah Ingleson and No. 3
Tyler Guerra and
Bo Williams both falling 8-6 to their opponents. The No. 2 duo of
Hallet Green and
Tom Smith fell 8-5 to the Colonels. Birmingham-Southern looked to make a comeback with their singles play.
No. 6
Tom Smith secured the first win for the Panthers with two 6-4 victories. No. 1
Hallet Green was the next to finish with 6-2, 6-2 win for the Panthers. The final match to finish was No. 2
Wilbur Dotson who won in a tie breaker set to take home the final victory for Birmingham-Southern. Even with the effort made to fight back in singles play, the Panthers fell to the Colonels 6-3.
