BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Two goals towards the end of regulation push the Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team past Maryville. 
 
While the Panthers tried to settle into their offense, the Scots looked to be disrupters from the kick. This tactic proved to be fruitful with two early goals giving the Scots a solid lead.
 
The deficit put a sense of urgency in the Panthers who cut it to one after a goal by Pirmin Blattmann from a Trey Hines assist. A few more quick shots showed a continued focus on evening the score. This resulted in Coleman Jennings sinking a shot off of an assist from Pirmin Blattmann.
 
As the first half wound down, tensions started to build as both teams looked to gain an edge. Shots continued to fly, along with penalties heading into the break.
 
This tension carried over as the second half began. An early yellow card on Maryville set the tone for what was to follow with neither team giving any room for error to their opposition.
 
The stalemate was finally broken as full-time was drawing near when Coleman Jennings assisted Pirmin Blattmann on his second goal. Not long after, the pair would score the final goal of the match, this time with their roles reversed. 
 
With two assists on the match, Pirmin Blattmann moves past his teammate for the number one spot on the SAA All-Time Assists leaderboard.
