CONWAY, Ark. – A tightly contested match sees the Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team falling to Hendrix as they begin conference play.
The Panthers came out of the gates swinging with several early shots trying to get their offense up and running early. Unfortunately, they were met with a Warriors' goal creating an early deficit.
Despite a continued barrage of shots from the Panthers, the opposing goalkeeper was able to keep any from hitting the back of the net. This gave the Warriors an opportunity to extend their lead, which they did as the half was drawing to a close.
After the break, the Panthers looked to keep up their quicker pace and were able to get some solid looks. The lid was finally taken off of the goal when Alessandro Junior netted an unassisted goal.
While this had the potential to set up a comeback for the Panthers, this would not come to fruition. The Warriors held their own, and time was not on the side of the Panthers.
