CONWAY, Ark. - The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team captured an impressive 113-88 win over Hendrix on Sunday in Grove Gym. The win was the Panthers their ninth consecutive victory over the Warriors.
After leading by eight at the half the Panthers outscored the Warriors by 17 in the second half to earn a 25 point victory. This marks the fifth time this season that the Panthers have won a game by 25 or more points.
Lilly Hart led all Panther scorers with 21 points, shooting 7-of-14 from the floor.
Sameera Elmasri recorded 19 points and seven boards, while
Brooke Westhoelter posted 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Additionally,
Faith Anderson also scored in double-figures scoring 10 points in addition to four rebounds and two assists in the win.
Madi Pierce led the Warriors with a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds and nine assists, while Simone Shields recorded 25 points and eight boards. Belle Cates added 13 points and three boards in the loss.
